Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an RRT in a hospital or acute care setting

Current New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility)

Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered respiratory care

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory therapy and clinical support to patients in acute and long-term hospital settings

Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and manage ventilator support as prescribed by physicians

Monitor patient responses, assess respiratory status, and adjust care plans accordingly

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital protocols, and adhere to safety and compliance standards
