Job Description

The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician / Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems within our facility. This position involves performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, PLCs, motors, switches, relays, and control panels.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspection, testing, and lubrication of electrical and instrumentation systems, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems using schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and testing equipment (, multimeters, oscilloscopes, loop calibrators).
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, process improvements, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Participate in emergency response and troubleshooting efforts during equipment failures or process upsets.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and operators as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical and instrumentation engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field for engineering positions; Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical or Instrumentation Technology for technician positions.
  • Number] years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and loop calibrators.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and SCADA systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
