Position Summary

Bring our games to life by leading the creation of exciting new concepts that drive slot game play. The Director, Game Design role is a key leadership position that guides a studio through the full game design and development process—all with the goal of providing the best gaming experience for the slot player.

Job Responsibilities

Primary

• Manage and lead a team of artists, animators, and engineers through the entire game development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to production and launch
• Lead the game design of land-based slot machines, including defining the game theme, game mechanic, and style of play
• Create original game designs, as well as games based on existing Light & Wonder brands, current market trends, and / or stakeholder requirements
• Own the development of your game throughout the development process, establishing and maintaining best practices, processes, and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality
• Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and accountability
• Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and development
• Work closely with other departments, including QA, PMO, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to define requirements, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful game launches and post-launch support
