Overview :

The Training Aircraft Readiness Data Scientist (Senior) will support the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The program which this position supports is responsible for managing the aircraft, simulators, and associated systems that support the U.S. Navy’s undergraduate pilot training pipeline.  This Program Office’s purview includes the acquisition, development and maintenance of six trainer aircraft : TH-73 Thrasher, T-44 Pegasus, T-45 Goshawk, T-6 Texan II, and T-54A Marlin II. These aircraft and programs also include related simulator suites, academic materials, computer-based training integration systems and contractor logistics support

Primary Duties :

• Lead advanced training aircraft readiness analysis, applying statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and readiness metrics evaluation to identify trends, assess training aircraft readiness performance, and provide actionable insights that improve mission availability.
• Provides high-level subject matter expertise, analysis, and technical guidance to support project execution.

Clearance :

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required.

Compensation :

While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000-$150,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
