Talascend is seeking a Tactical Operations Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Warren, MI

Responsibilities :

  • Support / Lead conference calls with business transfers and critical supply issues
  • Function as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide technical support
  • Determine the cause of supplier delivery problems and coordinate / implement effective and timely resolutions
  • Help assess and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions for critical issues Improve delivery performance of suppliers by identifying process improvements and lead time reduction opportunities
  • May participate as member or resource to product development teams
  • Regularly exchange information with others inside and outside the work group including GM and supplier facilities
  • Work with Supplier Risk Management team with Financially Troubled Suppliers
  • Keep management updated frequently , consistent with the issues urgency
  • Up to 75%+ travel
  • Provide Executive Reports as Required

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business

    • PREFERRED :

  • Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Also required is 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program / product management, logistics or product development.
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Some experience in manufacturing environment, OEM or supplier ok– need them comfortable in that environment and know what they are looking at

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’sdegree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, throughput and program management experience is required.
  • Excellent communication and command skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
