The Locums Credentialing Agent's primary responsibility is to manage the credentialing and / or privileging processes for our candidates upcoming assignments. They work directly with the candidates and the facilities to ensure the process goes smoothly and is completed on time.

Responsibilities

Job Functions of a Locums Credentialing Agent :

  • Obtain and complete all paperwork necessary to grant privileges at each facility.
  • Assist in obtaining any documentation and / or verifications required by a Medical Staff Office.
  • Set up drug screens and appointments to get medical items as well as run background checks as requested.
  • Maintain constant communication with production, the facility, and the candidate as to the weekly status of privileges, through weekly meetings and database notes.
  • Create and update the facility sheet for each facility.
  • Seek out and understand the complete privileging process for each facility.
  • Issue certificates of insurance, as requested.
  • Assist in renewing / maintaining proper documentation for the Medical Staff Office throughout the duration of the assignment.
  • Save and maintain all documentation required in our internal database.
  • Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Meet or exceed all turn-around timeframes assigned per task.
  • Other Responsibilities :

  • Complete special projects and other functions as required.
  • Provide back up to other Ops team members as needed.
  • Completing all work history verifications requested by other entities.
  • Extent of public contact :

  • Extensive contact with providers, Medical Staff offices, and all affiliated entities, as well as our internal Operations and Production departments via phone, text, email.
  • Qualifications

    What we look for :

  • Previous credentialing experience preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of office or administrative work experience.
  • Have clear and concise phone and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent email etiquette and written communication skill.
  • Comfortable learning different vendor / technology platforms.
  • Have strong computer, typing, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to consistently maintain quality and production expectations.
  • Strong personal motivation with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Attention to detail while working in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
