The Dealer Relationship Coordinator builds and maintains strong partnerships with both franchise and independent dealerships to generate quality applications for indirect financing. This position is the primary advocate for our dealer partners and internal credit union staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration every step of the way. As a vital member of our Consumer Lending department, they will contribute to departmental goals while fostering positive and professional relationships with dealers, branches, and other financial institutions.

Pay Range : $56,362 - $83,824

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Greet and serve all members, dealer partners, and employees with a positive and cooperative attitude and professional image at all times.
  • Act as an effective public relations liaison for the credit union and it’s dealership partners.
  • Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services at every opportunity.
  • Develop, implement and deliver quality product and service presentations and educational sessions for new and existing dealer partners.
  • Regularly document and plan dealer partner visits and contacts for the credit union and maintain strong business relationships through consistent communication and site visits.
  • Provide regular reports regarding dealer partner contact efforts and business development results.
  • Answer questions and solve problems for dealer partners concerning all services provided by the credit union through listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring parties.
  • Communicate with dealers and inform them of the missing information needed to fund a contract. Notify dealers of rejected contracts .
  • Establishes long-range goals as they relate to dealer relations and submit regular written updates to the Vice President of Consumer Loans and the Chief Lending Officer.
  • Work outside normal credit union operating hours is required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assume various responsibilities within the department by covering for the Consumer Loans Originators and Consumer Loan Processors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations set forth by NCUA, CUNA and other government authorities.
  • Comply with credit union policies and procedures specifically regarding Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

    Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have at least 2 year’s experience with Consumer Lending. Experience working with Dealerships is desired but not required. Must be highly motivated, organized, have strong multitasking ability, project a positive attitude and be dependable. A clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is also required. Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA / AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).

    Please note : Credit Union 1 does not provide relocation assistance. If selected for an on-site position, candidates will be responsible for relocating to Alaska prior to the agreed upon start date at their own expense.
