Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeastern United States as a Registered Nurse specializing in general medical surgical telemetry. This role offers flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, providing an opportunity to impact patient care quality through resource facilitation and system management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily patient assignments and collaborate closely with physicians during rounds.
- Serve as a primary contact for physicians and administrative staff, supporting nursing personnel including assistants, monitoring technicians, and unit secretaries.
- Assist with clinical procedures, order verification, and conduct daily quality control and equipment checks.
- Evaluate patient acuity and support personnel performance assessments alongside the Primary Care Manager.
- Provide clinical education in the absence of designated educators or preceptors.
- Engage regularly with patients and their families to ensure comprehensive care.
- Coordinate with care coordinators, discharge planners, and nursing supervisors to optimize patient placement and care transitions.
- Implement hospital innovation initiatives and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics.
- Maintain effective communication with leadership, physicians, and staff, utilizing mobile technology to enhance responsiveness.
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.Current RN licensure in a Compact state or the Southeastern region required.Experience
Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience in a relevant setting.Skills and Abilities
