Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Ability to obtain a Department of Defese Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES :
GDMS has an immediate opening for a Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join our cross-disciplinary team responsible for developing tactical radio hardware. These programs help to ensure robust and secure communications for the warfighter. This role includes schematic design and layout of hardware with ARM processors and microcontrollers, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces ( I2C, SPI, SDIO).
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences : schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components, use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment, experience designing PCBs / PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools.
