8 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm Monday-Friday
Job Description :
As the Medical Office Receptionist, you will act as the main point of contact for patients and other staff, providing customer service and administrative support. You will handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, collect payments, verify insurance information, and assist with general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have a professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming, professional, and courteous manner.Manage and maintain a clean and organized reception area.Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns.Answer and route incoming phone calls, provide accurate information regarding services, policies, and appointment preparation.Check patients in and out, verify insurance and demographic information, and collect payments or required documentation.Manage a high-volume appointment schedule, including new visits, follow-ups, cancellations, and rescheduling.Assist with patient registration and paperwork as well as managing the patient records.Assist with other administrative tasks as needed such as filing, faxing, emailing, scanning, and managing front-desk supplies.Support billing processes by collecting payments, addressing basic billing inquiries, and forwarding complex issues to the billing team.Manage patient billing and collections, and be able to explain claims and insurance statements in an empathetic manner.Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA compliance standards at all times.Prepare, scan, and upload medical forms, referrals, and other documentation as needed.Be able to work independently and communicate effectively with clinical staff to coordinate patient flow and address urgent concerns.Qualifications :
High School diploma or High School equivalent.Must demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of clinic patients.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail, organization, interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficient in Google Workplace applications.Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters.Proficient in the operation of a computer keyboard, iPad, printer, and office phone.Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing.Knowledge of basic arithmetic and medical terminology.Experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology setting is preferred.Benefits :
