Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Manager to oversee our logistics and operations within the yard. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient management of our yard activities, including inventory control, equipment management, and compliance with safety regulations. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing yard processes and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily yard operations, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation
  • Supervise and mentor yard staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment
  • Manage inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and equipment
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance measures to minimize risks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance yard operations
  • Utilize data-driven methodologies to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in yard management or logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with heavy equipment and materials handling
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the logistics industry
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and yard management system
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively across departments
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic work environment
