Field Representative
Minimum requirements : Two (2) years college credit, or six (6) months specialized work experience in lab or field environment relating to cotton which expands the applicant's knowledge of cotton quality. Must provide proof of education when applying.
Duties : Travel to gins and warehouses inspecting cotton sampling and discussing inadequacies of sampling procedures or equipment with samplers, ginners, and warehousemen, emphasizing the importance of proper sampling procedures when necessary. Overnight travel may be required during the peak of cotton season to support cotton sampling inspections.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be able to provide proof of identification (picture ID, Social Security Card) and education. Veteran's preference will be applied as appropriate. DD- 214 and / or VA letter required for applicable Veteran preference. If you are a male born after December 31, 1959, and are at least 18 years of age, civil service employment law (5 U.S.C. 3328) requires that you must be registered with the Selective Service System, unless you meet certain exemptions (proof of registration and / or exemption required).
