Job Title : Nurse Practitioner Flight Medicine

Location : 56th Medical Group, 7219 North Litchfield Road, building 1130, Luke AFB, AZ 85309

Work Schedule : Monday Friday, 7 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM; 8Hrs Shift, not to exceed 40 Hrs / week; max 20 overtime Hrs / year

Qualifications :

  • Education : Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited (ACEN or CCNE) NP program.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years within the last 3 years in a clinical setting; prior military / aviation medicine experience preferred.
  • License / Certification :

Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or other recognized national NP certifying body.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive health care for Air Force personnel, including aviation-related medical evaluations and fitness-for-duty exams.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, with emphasis on occupational and aerospace medicine.
  • Perform preventive health screenings, immunizations, and medical readiness evaluations.
  • Counsel patients on health promotion, wellness, and risk reduction.
  • Collaborate with physicians and flight surgeons for complex or specialty cases.
  • Support medical readiness programs and ensure compliance with Air Force standards.
