    • JOB SUMMARY :   Provides direct supervision of patient service staff and coordinates care services. Collaborates with HHA staff to ensure the submission of accurate documentation, including evaluations, OASIS data and assists with reconciling errors. Contributes to operational process development and meeting monthly benchmarks set forth by the parent company. Represents department on committees as requested.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Valid driver's license and proof of car insurance
  • Must be a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist by the state
  • Must have at least five years clinical experience
  • Must have at least one year of supervisory or managerial experience in a healthcare administrative setting

    • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performs job duties in the office Monday through Friday with agreed upon hours.
  • Reviews all plans of treatment for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness. Maintains accurate records of all services rendered to patients.
  • Approve all Episodic Medicare Frequency and review pending Medicare : Evals, Re-Evals, and PDGM.
  • Evaluates and regularly reevaluates the therapy needs of patients.
  • Oversees that all patient care is performed in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical / health errors.
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
  • Addresses and supports cultural practices, as long as such practices do not harm others or interfere with the planned course of medical therapy.
  • Supports and carries out the HHA’s policies.
  • Helps to maintain Purposecare to be JCAHO and State compliance and helps the company pass the survey.
  • Participates in HHA’s information management and performance improvement programs.
  • Performs weekly case conferences, and monitors therapy staff for compliance with completing case conference.
  • Assists administrator on processes and compliance.
  • Interviews all incoming therapy staff.
  • Hires experienced staff that are equipped to meet the qualifications of the job duties set forth.
  • Supervises and trains all therapy staff- designs program for orientation of new staff. Trains staff on initial assessment and treatment of patient care.
  • Continually holds therapy staff accountable, giving out disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Assist HR with maintaining employee compliance.
  • Keeps records on training, new methods, products, trends, and communicates new information with staff.
  • Provides temporary coverage for different positions within the office for vacations / sick coverage.
  • Oversees old paperwork and assists to make sure that all paperwork is completed timely.
  • Performance reviews for the Therapy staff.
  • Answers clinical questions for staff regarding problems and frequency.
  • Assists with QAPI
  • Therapy record reviews for ADR, denials, and record requests.
  • Works with all contract companies to make sure staff is performing care at the same level as all PurposeCare staff.
  • QA discipline specific tasks including Evals and all items needed for immediate turnaround for billing.
  • Perform Supervisory visits.
  • Admin On call per rotation.
  • Treats as a PT when absolutely necessary.
  • Collaborates / supervises other QA team members that manage therapy specific tasks.
  • Works directly with the therapy scheduler to assure the ability to staff patients timely and accurately while prioritizing current staff versus contract staff.
  • Oversee therapy staff performance by reviewing weekly productivity and recognize areas of meeting benchmarks.
  • Participate in all management meetings, support fellow managers and maintain confidentiality and loyalty to the management team.
  • Any job duties delegated by the parent company and Administrator.
