Information Technology Facilities Technician

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides installation, testing and maintenance of network cabling and infrastructure
• Provides installation and maintenance of Access Control System wiring and locking mechanisms
• Provides support for all facilities in the Midland / Odessa area
• Assist with deployment of on-premises cabling infrastructure as needed and install hardware such as conference room setups, switches, Ethernet cabling, cameras and Access points
• Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose communications issues related to cabling and or infrastructure components or locking mechanisms.
• Creates and maintains appropriate documentation of cabling infrastructure.
• Supports efforts with the facilities maintenance team as time and availability permits
• Escalates complex issues to subject matter experts as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
