Position :  Operator

Location : Tulsa, OK

Schedule :   12-hour rotating

Reports to :  Operations Manager

Compensation :   $25.86 / hr, non-exempt to start

Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. The hourly rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process, as some facilities are subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Please note that the compensation details listed in the US roles postings reflect the hourly rate only, and do not include benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives such as overtime and shift premiums.

About This Role and You

Operators at our Tulsa, OK UltraPure sulphuric acid production facility will be part of a team that meets the needs for producing highly specialized materials supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry that will be highly dynamic over the next decade

This job is diverse in the mechanical ability to perform general plant operator duties. Work includes tank truck and railcar vessel opening, loading and unloading, operation of pumps, piping, valves and general plant upkeep and maintenance. Also, assists the Acid and Shift Utility Operators or other plant personnel as needed. This job requires climbing stairs and ladders and also lifting (within OSHA guidelines). This job consists of outside elements where radiant heat or cold is normal work environment, and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Relevant experience in a plant environment performing similar duties is preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be able to work scheduled 12-hour days / nights with intermittent 14 – 16 hour days for emergency operations / repairs.
• Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer’s literature, diagrams or schematics.

Medical Requirement

Physical Demands / Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job : Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision. Must be physically capable of spending long hours outdoors and occasionally work in protected clothing and equipment. Ability to climb stairs and ladders (including vertical).
