Job Description

Under general direction, the 7282 Street Repair Supervisor II is a second‑level supervisor responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and city structures using asphalt, concrete and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, monitor, and evaluate the work of subordinates engaged in the construction, repair, and maintenance of asphalt and concrete runways, streets, sidewalks, curbs, and structures.
• Inspect work in progress for conformance with plans, work orders, FAA, established procedures and safe working conditions in accordance to Cal OSHA.
• Supervise emergency repair work in cases involving underground utility failure, road surface failures, security fencing breaches and other critical infrastructure.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare reports and records on employees’ time, materials expended, periodic reports, and performance evaluations.
• Make recommendations for budget regarding equipment and materials needed for assigned sector.
• Assist in the development and advancement of subordinates through training and effective use of employee development programs.
• Drive to meetings and to work sites for inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
