Noble Corporation is hiring for a Claims Manager in Houston, Texas. Since 1921, Noble has been a world-class offshore drilling company with industry-leading safety and operational performance. This role's main responsibility involves management of offshore injury claims and other claims related to the company’s business while working a Hybrid work schedule. This includes oversight and coordination of injured workers treatment with cross-functional departments and external providers, communication with injured workers, claims documentation, authorizations, and financial and risk reporting. Works directly with in-house and outside counsel on management of pre-litigation and litigation claims. In performance of these duties, will be involved with loss reserve analysis and reporting, expense submission and tracking, claims management, litigation management, and supporting the legal department in whatever way is needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Initiate claims process for injured workers worldwide and work with rig personnel and outside claims consultants to ensure prompt and proper medical care is provided.
- Review / generate appropriate claims documentation, ensure proper authorizations, and adhere to stringent guidelines for expediting claims cases in the most satisfactory manner for both Noble and injured party.
- Communication with injured employees including notifying injured employee’s family as needed.
- Oversee claims management and settlement process, including cross-functional co-ordination with HR, Operations and HSE, to minimize Noble’s exposure.
- Setting and adjusting reserves for claims by discussing case evaluation and progress.
- Maintain a schedule of all litigated claim reserves and paid amounts on an on-going basis.
- Prepare quarterly reports for accounting and reporting purposes
- Work with HSE and operations on the investigation of claims.
- Support reporting process for accidents, damages or property loss which may generate claims against the company and subsequent reporting to insurance underwriters.
- Maintain effective, open, and regular communication and provide information and assistance to company departments, divisions, and subsidiaries, as needed.
- Work with in-house counsel on the management of lawsuits filed against Noble. Includes issuing litigation holds, responding to document requests, managing litigation tracker, and maintaining litigation files.
- Manage insured property damage and liability claims (including personal injury claims) by interacting with assigned counsel, loss adjusters, the insurance brokers and underwriters.
- Provide notification and case updates to brokers and / or underwriters of personal injury and property claims.
- Manage non-personnel injury claims with insurers.
- Submit insurance reimbursement requests.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline, and / or course work in risk management8 years’ experience in risk / claims management, litigation management or related field, preferably including experience in US market or the offshore industryStrong background in legal, insurance, and / or financial disputesStrong written and verbal communication skillsMulti-lined Licensed Adjuster or insurance adjusting experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsTravel is an essential job function (approximately 20%, domestic, international, & offshore)
