Job Summary / Basic Function

Responsible to the director of nursing to carry out assigned office / administrative work routines

Assemble information concerning patients clinical background and insurance information

Coordinate referrals and off-site radiology appointments in a timely manner

Responsible to university physician for evaluation care and treatment of students medical complaints following written medical protocol

Collaborate with other departments on campus for scheduling of student visits.

Required Education

Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tennessee

Required Related Experience

Two years of experience in a hospital clinic long term care / rehab or physicians office setting

Required License / Registration / Certification

Licensed as a License Practical Nurse in Tennessee

Desirable Related Experience

Experience with Referral Coordination

Experience in a University Health Setting

Experience with TennIIS

Knowledge of DME

Desirable License / Registration / Certification

Associate Degree in Nursing

BLS certified
