Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision of the Director of Academic and Career Advising, the Administrative Assistant implements and coordinates daily front-line processes in the Airport Center, supporting students in the advisement / enrollment / registration process. The individual assists the Academic and Career Advising department at large with administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, procurement, and equipment inventory processes. The individual also serves as a key MTC information resource for other stakeholders within and beyond the college who engage with Academic and Career Advising. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelors degree and one year of relevant program experience; or, an Associate's degree and 3 years of relevant program experience; or High School diploma and 5-years of relevant program experience in managing an office. Ability to establish positive working relationships with applicants, students and parents, faculty and staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively use online student database systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in student services programs in an academic advising office setting.
