Job Requirements

Education Requirements : Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or certification in California

Certifications Requirements : CPR certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, State licensure as a COTA

Experience Requirements : Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a COTA in outpatient rehabilitation settings

Other Requirements : Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, reliable transportation, strong interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services to patients under the supervision of the occupational therapist.

Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and modify interventions based on patient progress.

Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility protocols and legal requirements.

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the delivery of coordinated care.

Educate patients and their families on therapy exercises and strategies to promote recovery and independence.
