About The Position

Job Title : IR Technologist Profession : Interventional Radiology Specialty : IR Tech Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10H Days with call - daytime Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Required Certifications : ARRT, BLS Must-Have : IR and Neuro IR (Stroke) experience Description : The unit consists of multiple IR suites and hybrid operating room facilities. Staffing includes 6-8 technologists and 4-8 registered nurses when fully staffed. Technologists will rotate through call responsibilities after approximately one month of independent work. Weekend call typically occurs every 5th-8th weekend. Weekday call shifts vary, with a response time expectation of 30 minutes, maximum of 45 minutes. The department handles complex cases, including central venous catheters, paracentesis, and GI tube management. Additional procedures involve diagnostic cerebral angiograms, strokes, and various vascular interventions. The staff fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork. Candidates should be comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance. Familiarity with specific imaging systems is preferred. The working environment is fast-paced and involves critical patient care. Team members are expected to work effectively with all colleagues, including medical staff.
