We offer competitive sign-on bonuses for eligible full-time positions—$7,500 for experienced Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience, and $5,000 for those with less than one year. Key Responsibilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be graduates of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the American Medical Association or an approved body, or be eligible for licensure in South Carolina or be a senior student graduating in the next three months.
Certification Requirements
Must possess a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in South Carolina or be eligible for one. BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may qualify as Certified Respiratory Therapists.
Newer hires must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the registered therapist cut score and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failing the clinical simulation exam may lead to termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required for positions in the Children's Hospital prior to independent work in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Effective teamwork and strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
