Essential Job Duties Join NC State University’s Environmental Services Unit as an Environmental Services Technician and help maintain the welcoming and professional atmosphere of the Chancellor’s residence . In this high-profile role, you’ll play a vital part in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing detailed cleaning and sanitizing tasks using both standard and specialized equipment. This position requires attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to interact professionally in a setting that represents the university. Working Hours : 8 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m., Monday – Friday

Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to :

Clean and sanitize designated areas to ensure a hygienic and presentable environment

• Identify and report building discrepancies, damages, or maintenance needs
• Respond to building emergencies and inclement weather situations as needed
• Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, and scrubbers

Perform periodic deep cleaning, floor polishing, carpet extraction, and pressure washing

Other Responsibilities

Qualifications Minimum Experience / Education Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
