General Job Responsibilities :
Conduct examinations and diagnose conditions for patients with conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head and neck.Perform a range of ENT surgical procedures, such as tonsillectomies, sinus surgeries, and head and neck cancer surgeries, among others.Respond promptly to ENT-related emergencies, such as airway obstructions, nosebleeds and traumatic injuries.Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.Skills :
In-depth knowledge of otolaryngology principles, including both medical and surgical treatments for ENT disorders.Capability to make quick, informed decisions during surgery and in emergency situations.Strong communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients.Excellent manual dexterity and precision.Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.Minimum Education Requirements :
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.Residency training program in otolaryngology by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).License & Certifications :
Board certification in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ABO-HNS) or the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AOBOO-HNS).Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida.Experience :
