Electrician

Pay : Starting at $30.00 / hr (DOE)
Shift : Night Shift (Day Shift training required)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician / Electronic Technician with strong knowledge of electronics and PLCs to support our manufacturing operations. This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in electrical trade functions, troubleshooting, and maintaining production machinery.
You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic components of manufacturing equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, replacing defective parts, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all machinery runs at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install and repair electrical and electronic components on production and support machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including PLC ladder logic, PanelView programming, PID, VFDs, encoders, and servo control systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics.
Perform preventive maintenance and complete accurate PM forms.
Maintain production machinery in top operating condition.
Report repair needs and request necessary parts.
Support and train other maintenance personnel when needed.
Follow all lockout / tagout safety procedures when performing maintenance.
Complete job sheets and assigned tasks on time.
Requirements
Clean background check and drug test (including THC).
Minimum of 3+ years electrical experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electronics, and machine programming (ladder logic).
Ability to operate a forklift (must be certified within 90 days).
Knowledge of electrical codes, tools (grinders, drills, ratchets), and measuring devices (micrometer, caliper, voltage meter, tape measure).
Ability to lift 35–75 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Physically able to perform tasks including bending, crawling under machines, twisting, standing, and working in tight or dirty spaces.
Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals).
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Safety Expectations
Wear steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety goggles, and PPE at all times.
Follow all safety training, meetings, and company procedures.
Report accidents / injuries within 24 hours.
Must know and follow all lockout / tagout procedures.
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing facility with loud, heavy machinery.
Indoor environment (not climate-controlled) with exposure to cement and sand dust.
Occasional outside repairs on conveyor systems.
Overtime required (up to 4 hours daily); may work 6–7 days per week.
On-call shifts possible.
