Purpose of Position :

This position will be responsible formaintaining good relations between internal and external customers, and the company’s network of 3rd party providers.

Accountabilities :

  • Manage appointments for 3rd party carriers and brokers.
  • Will be the first point of contact between carriers and customer for tracking and tracing purposes.
  • Prepare daily routes and confirm routing with carrier and customer.
  • Manage track process to ensure timely customer pickup and delivery.
  • Manage collection of PODs
  • Responsible for issuing of Com checks and lumpers.
  • Update and maintain assigned reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Keep dispatchers aware of any delays or problems.

Minimum Skills Required :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
  • Strong sense of direction and good understanding of the U.S. inland.
  • Knowledge of transportation handling best practices, with a good understanding of cold chain management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must be flexible to work on holidays and weekends when required.

    • Preferred :

  • Knowledge or experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Previous experience with any transportation software programs is beneficial for this position.
  • Less than Load (LTL) and Truck Load (TL) experience.
  • Please note : This position does not qualify for relocation expenses.
