We are currently seeking a Java Developer for one of our industry leading clients.

Position : Java Developer

Location : Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid

Type : Contract - Only W

Project Overview :

We are undertaking a platform modernization initiative aimed at transforming legacy systems into a scalable, cloud-ready architecture. This role is critical to the success of the project and will focus heavily on backend development and integration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
  • Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval
  • Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI / CD pipelines and automation best practices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code (% hands-on coding)
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity (experience with Copilot is a major plus)

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Kafka , MongoDB , and PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of API development and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools and automation pipelines
  • Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot is highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in platform modernization or cloud migration projects
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies
