Job DescriptionSLR International Corporation is seeking an Associate Environmental Geologist / Engineer / Scientist 4 to 6 years of experience to join our Anchorage, Alaska operations. The candidate selected for this role will work within our Alaska Land Quality and Remediation Technical Discipline, assisting with a variety of functions related to contaminated site investigation and remediation. Preferable candidates will have experience in consulting and / or industry, preferably focused on Alaska projects. Positions in the Anchorage office also provide great opportunities for growth and gaining broad experience in site investigation and cleanup, environmental permitting and compliance, and air quality.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to solve basic calculations and unit conversions
- Experience presenting analytical results in tabular and graphical forms
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Willing to commit to field assignments of up to two weeks away from Anchorage
- Possess valid driver’s license and good driving record

Work with clients from a variety of industriesCollect groundwater, surface water, and soil samplesReview State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability to site cleanupAssist other SLR teams with work in a variety of disciplines including air monitoring, waste management, permitting, and complianceTravel to clients' facilities for inspections and document reviewWork within quality / budget / schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments
