St. Joseph Mercy Oakland has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Inpatient Psychiatry Program located in Pontiac, Michigan.Â

The selected candidate will join our inpatient psychiatry team as an attending psychiatrist for the inpatient unit. St. Joseph Mercy Oakland's inpatient unit accepts both voluntary and involuntary patients through our emergency department, as well as referrals from outside emergency departments, 24 hour per day, seven day per week, including holidays. The candidate for this opportunity will also provide hospital consults.

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland is a teaching facility with medical students rotating through the unit regularly. As part of the rotation program, our Psychiatrists provide the teaching component to these students.

The Psychiatry opportunity is also open to new graduate residents, as well as current practicing physicians. This opportunity does not accept J-1 or H-1B candidates.          Â
