Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join our team. The Lead Technician is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics and repairs, mentoring and supporting other technicians, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity in the shop. This role is crucial in setting the standard for technical excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
Serve as the primary technical resource and point of escalation for complex issues..
Uphold and enforce safety procedures and cleanliness standards within the shop.
Assist with quality control by inspecting completed work before customer delivery.
Provide input on parts, equipment, and tool needs to maximize shop efficiency.
Collaborate with service advisors and management to ensure accurate estimates, repair timelines, and customer communication.
Lead by example in professionalism, technical skill, and customer-focused service.
Qualifications :
5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience (domestic vehicle experience preferred).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including electrical and drivability issues.
ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a shop setting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of productivity.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
