Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Morning Baker to join our kitchen team and help us provide freshly baked goods to our customers each day. The ideal candidate is an early riser with a passion for baking, capable of producing high-quality pastries, breads, and other baked items with consistency and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, and specialty items according to recipes and quality standardsArrive early to begin daily production and ensure products are ready for opening hoursMeasure and mix ingredients accurately and operate baking equipment safelyMaintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standardsMonitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate restocking needsAssist in developing and testing new recipes or seasonal offeringsLabel, date, and store baked items appropriatelyWork collaboratively with other kitchen staff and communicate effectively with the front-of-house teamQualifications
Previous baking experience preferred, especially in a commercial or café settingStrong knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling, and proofing timesAbility to follow recipes with precision and maintain consistencyComfortable working early morning shifts (start times between 4 : 00–6 : 30 AM)Ability to work independently and manage time efficientlyFood Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsSchedule
Early morning shifts (4 : 30 AM – 12 : 00 PM), including weekends and holidays as needed
