About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of IT to take on a senior leadership role, with a primary focus on tactical execution, operational excellence, and strategic alignment of the IT function with business goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse IT team, including business services, digital solutions, and operational services, and will be tasked with maintaining the stability and efficiency of IT systems. This includes prioritizing infrastructure investments, fostering cross-functional engagement, and overseeing the company's cybersecurity program to ensure the safety of operations. The Head of IT will also be expected to partner closely with business leaders and vendors to define and execute the company's technology vision and roadmap, ensuring that IT initiatives deliver organizational value. Applicants for the Head of IT position at the company should have a background in IT technical roles, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and developing directors is essential. While not mandatory, experience in the insurance industry, particularly in property and casualty commercial lines, and exposure to both carrier and broker environments is preferred. The role requires familiarity with Agile frameworks and experience in transitioning from Waterfall project management, as well as the ability to manage both offshore and in-house consultants. The ideal candidate will be adept at overseeing technology vendor relationships, project portfolio delivery, and budget adherence, and will have a strong focus on data governance strategies to ensure data integrity, availability, and quality.
