Senior Site Superintendent

Department of Defense General Contractor Seeking a Senior Project Superintendent in San Diego County

Permon Contractors Inc is seeking a results-oriented Senior Superintendent with experience in large scale construction, working with department of defense facilities, to join our Southern California team. The Senior Superintendent will manage a singular large project and / or multiple project teams throughout the San Diego area to meet or exceed company and client expectations. The projects may range to over $5 million in construction costs.

The employee's primary responsibility will be for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including :

Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices

Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected

Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors

Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination

Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions

Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals

Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates

Material ordering and project take off

Managing onsite laborers and tradesmen

Coordinating with main office and general superintendent regarding project progress

Communicating directly with department of defense clients, contract managers and end users

The Senior Superintendent's role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing Permon Contractors' best practices in safety, quality, schedule and budget while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These projects are NAVFAC and DoD, the projects may range from $100K to over $5M in construction costs. Some design build contract knowledge preferred.

The ideal candidate will oversee quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
