AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. How you will create an impact

• Underwriting and managing an existing book of Ocean Cargo risks and developing and underwriting a pipeline of new business opportunities across the country
• Collaborating with peers in other regions and providing technical underwriting support on existing accounts in those regions, ensuring a consistent approach to market throughout the country.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients
• Communicating our value proposition with our brokers and clients and demonstrating our right to win
• Identifying future industry trends, understand how they will impact ours our client’s business and developing new strategies around those trends
• Communicating to internal stakeholders on the profitable of the portfolio
• Providing superior customer service to brokers and clients.
• Attend client / broker meetings, presentations and relevant industry events on behalf of the company.
• Participating in special underwriting projects as needed.

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $125,000.00 - $155,000.00. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. We’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits, a summary of which can be viewed here :
