Job Description

The Content Manager plays a critical role in Inkblot’s creative operations by overseeing multimedia content creation and digital asset management. This position directly supervises the Photo, Video, and Social Media teams while ensuring that all projects meet ASUN and university branding standards.

As Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the structure and consistency of Inkblot’s visual content management, server organization, overseeing file backups, coordinating uploads to platforms like Flickr and YouTube, and tracking digital engagement metrics. You will also lead regular check-ins with team members, approve timecards on Workday, and support overall workflow through project management tools.

This position is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented student with experience in visual media, a strong understanding of file management, and leadership. If you’re ready to step into a key leadership role and shape the digital voice of ASUN, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Attend and contribute to weekly Project Meetings

Attend and contribute to weekly Staff Meetings

Directly supervise the Social Media Manager

Manage and correct hours on Workday

Analyze and report performance of Social Media Manager.

Ensure posts have been scheduled and captions have correct information with no grammatical errors

Attend and set up meetings with Social Media manager and the ASUN Director of PR. to align messaging, plan campaigns, and develop engagement strategies.

Analyze all social media analytics on all platforms and collaborate with Social Media Manager and present them.

Ensure social media goals are defined, tracked, and aligned with broader ASUN marketing objectives

Support the Social Media Manager in writing PackLife news posts and ensure they are accurate, timely, and relevant

Directly supervise the Photographers and Videographers

Manage and correct hours on Workday

Analyze and report the performance of the videographers.

Analyze and report the performance of the photographer.

Ensure all files have been backed up after each project.

Manage and organize file dump in Inkblots servers.

Fill in for any photography or videography shoots when needed

Fill in for editing any projects.

Schedule photographer and videographer for events or any shoots.

Hold Videographers accountable for showing up to events and shoots as well as uploading projects on time.

Hold Photographers accountable for showing up to events and shoots as well as uploading photos to Flickr

Ensure that all media is up to a higher marketing standard.

Manage all physical inventory.

Manage a check-in and check-out system for photo / video equipment.

Obtain all design files from designers on a bi-monthly basis.

Ensure a print release has been approved for all physical materials.

Ensure printing is on time and orders have been made.

Upload TV ads as they are requested.

Make sure Photo / Video is using logos effectively

Other duties as assigned

Ensure social media goals are on track

Required Qualifications

Candidate must be an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno

Candidate must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full time

Candidate must have an interest in Social Media and engagement trends

Candidate has experience in Adobe Creative Cloud

Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in using professional Video Editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.)

Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in using a Mirrorless / Professional camera

Candidate has experience in File management.

Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in Canva.

Candidate has a working knowledge of ASUN, Inkblot, and University policies and why they exist.

Candidate can demonstrate an understanding of the Marketing field

Candidate is familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Candidate must be able to walk 1-2 miles easily.

Candidate must be able to develop an understanding of the Axis TV system.

Candidate must be able to work at least 10 hours in the office per week.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate has worked at Inkblot for at least 1 semester.

Candidate has an interest in PR, Marketing, or similar fields.

Candidate is a major in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.

Candidate has experience managing Servers.
