About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Rehabilitation Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 year License : New York RN license required Certifications : BLS Must-Have : EPIC charting experience preferred Ability to float between units Description : We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Rehabilitation. The position is for night shifts, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse will work with patients diagnosed with stroke, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. The nurse will be responsible for providing acute rehabilitation care. The unit typically has patient ratios of 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 12 during the night. There will be opportunities to work in interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy and Respiratory Services. Special equipment includes Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar setting. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. The unit welcomes first-time travelers. A commitment to weekend coverage every other weekend is expected. We support a block scheduling approach, though not guaranteed.
