Senior Business Manager LHS
The Senior Business Manager LHS will increase value by leading strategic, sustainable, and profitable growth through our focus on solving our customers' key challenges and collaborating across UL Solutions, while fostering a winning culture.
Own the Americas region Life & Health Sciences P&L and develop and implement a growth strategy for the medical safety and medical regulatory compliance business.
Own strategy based on in-depth understanding of the Medical Testing, Inspection, Certification, & Regulatory industry.
Provide input to Long Range Planning and execute global strategy with locally relevant initiatives.
Manage financial forecasting and achieve yearly budget while growing market share and customer base.
Lead a cross-functional team of Sales and Engineering; ensure teams collaborate and have the right processes and tools in place to best serve our customers.
Oversee daily operations within the region to accomplish operating goals, including budgeting, capacity planning, financial objectives, sales, operations, and employee engagement.
Maintain in-depth understanding of regional medical industry related dynamics. Establish relevant contacts and develop relationships with key customers. Organize and attend industry events.
Qualifications :
Successful, well-rounded leader with a Bachelor's degree and experience in high technology industries plus generally
10+ years directly related experience
5 years of minimum of relevant management / leadership experience.
5 years in regulatory compliance or product safety for medical devices.
Deep knowledge of IEC 60601 and IEC 61010 standards, IVDR, MDR, MDSAP, ISO 13485, INMETRO, and related frameworks.
Proven P&L management experience and driving sustainable and profitable growth. Demonstrates financial acumen and has a clear understanding of how business decisions impact DCF / ROI.
Experience driving sales performance including ensuring sales pipeline of opportunity and quotes in order to meet the budget.
Experience with large and complex customer interactions, products, and services.
Track record of building strong people / teams. Experience in leading highly technical staff and commercial staff a must, either via dedicated experience or via general management.

What we offer :
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000 - $195,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental, and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
