Location : Fayetteville, North Carolina 28304

Healthcare Setting : Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital

Unit : ICU – 7 Valley Pavilion

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 29, 2025

End Date : March 30, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts / week (36 hours / week)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week (facility call-off policy applies)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1830-$1880

Charting System : Epic

Scrub Color : Royal blue and white

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in acute care settings

Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)

Must pass EKG exam prior to start

Epic charting experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

Ability to float within scope to support hospital needs

Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles of facility

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU

Manage patient ratios of 1 : 2-3, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes

Perform advanced ICU nursing skills : arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmia interpretation

Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion / removal, lumbar drains, and post-craniotomy care

Administer blood products, emergency medications, and continuous IV sedation / paralytics

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries

Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR

Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
