1 Part-time Evening ABE / GED Reading & Writing Instructor Needed

CAMBA seeks a part-time ABE / GED Reading and Writing instructor to work in person at its Education Center , located at 955 Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y. The work schedule is 5 : 30 to 8 : 30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Candidates must have a B.A / B.S. in education or a related field; Masters preferred. Candidates must have taught ABE / GED / TASC preparation for at least 2 years and must have experience working with low income and / or ethnically diverse populations. For this position, the ability to effectively teach standard English grammar, reading comprehension skills (via Literature, Science, and Social Studies passages), plus informative / argumentative essay writing skills to adults and young adults is a must. Applicants with experience in computer-assisted instruction , who are self-starters, and highly organized are preferred. Compensation : $35.36 hourly

When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and / or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

Status : Part Time (12 hours weekly)
