Senior Systems Engineer Simulation Hardware

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a defense technology company entering a major growth phase. This organization develops advanced hardware for military training and is moving into full-scale production after several years of successful development.

The Senior Systems Engineer will serve as the bridge between design, production, and manufacturingensuring engineered designs translate smoothly into reliable, high-quality products delivered at scale. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role requiring both technical depth and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical liaison between mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams
Lead integration activities with external engineering and production partners
Apply formal systems engineering practices to ensure reliability, compliance, and traceability
Translate complex requirements into actionable engineering and manufacturing tasks
Support production ramp-up with process improvements and troubleshooting
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team coordination

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)

8+ years of engineering experience, ideally in systems integration and production environments

Experience in simulation, training, or defense hardware strongly preferred

Proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and vendors

Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a small, agile, and high-impact environment
