Overview

The Self-Sufficiency Coordinator designs and delivers programs that empower survivors to achieve independence and long-term stability. This role focuses on financial literacy employment readiness and life skills development. Its perfect for someone creative energetic and highly organizedsomeone who loves building engaging curriculum and motivating others to participate.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop and update curriculum for financial empowerment job readiness and wellness programs.
  • Facilitate classes and workshops (in-person or virtual) for shelter residents.
  • Coordinate with advocates to identify participant needs and encourage program engagement.
  • Track attendance outcomes and grant compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with community partners and volunteers to enhance programming.
  • Brainstorm creative incentives and strategies to boost participation.

    Required :

  • Experience developing and implementing programs or curriculum.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to track and report outcomes for grant compliance.
  • Organizational skills and proficiency with basic technology tools.

    • Preferred :

  • Bachelors degree in education social work human services or a related field.
  • Experience in financial literacy employment readiness or similar programming.
  • Background in community engagement or activities coordination.
