Health Unit Coordinator - Postpartum - Per Diem

Description

Health Unit Coordinator in the Postpartum Unit at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. This is a Per-Diem position and will work 8-hour Variable shifts.

Registers patients upon arrival to the labor and delivery unit for either in-patient or out-patient service, which includes interviewing patient to secure current demographic information and preparing necessary documents. Screens all visitors prior to admittance onto the labor & delivery / postpartum / NICU units. Attends clerical station and performs clerical and reception duties; requisitions and maintains supplies, equipment, and services as directed. With direction from Resource Nurse / Charge Nurse / Assistant Nurse Manager : assigns rooms and / or directs patients to the appropriate area; manages and schedules all labor & delivery cases including inductions and cesarean sections using electronic scheduling system.
