• Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced

• Senior Mechanical & Plumbing Estimator
• with a proven background in large-scale commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have
• a minimum of 10 years of estimating experience
• and a strong understanding of complex mechanical and plumbing systems for hospitals, schools, high-rise buildings, laboratories, data centers, and other major commercial projects. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the entire bidding and pre-construction process.

The Senior Mechanical & Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for managing and preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC & Plumbing systems on a wide variety of projects—from budgeting to design-build to plan / spec. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive, precise, and timely bids.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical and plumbing cost estimates for large commercial projects.
• Review and analyze blueprints, specs, addenda, and design documents to build comprehensive estimates.
• Perform material take-offs, equipment pricing, labor calculations, and value engineering options.
• Source and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Evaluate design alternatives, cost savings, constructability, and project risks.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams during pre-bid meetings, proposals, and project turnover.
• Prepare bid summaries, proposals, and documentation for presentations to leadership or clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market pricing, codes, and new HVAC and plumbing technologies.
• Qualifications :
• Minimum 10+ years of experience
• as a Mechanical / Plumbing Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of
• HVAC, piping, plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
• Proven track record estimating
• commercial projects valued $5M–$100M+
• Proficiency in
• estimating software
• (such as Trimble / AutoBid, Quotesoft, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret
• engineering drawings, specifications, and BIM models
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Skills (Not Required)
• Experience with
• design-build projects
• Familiarity with
• BIM coordination and 3D modeling tools
• Mechanical or Plumbing field experience (installation / management background is a plus). xklufbp
• Applicable technical degree or trade education.
