Contracts Writer

The contracts writer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documentation related to procurement activities, such as purchase orders, service agreements, vendor contracts, modifications, and amendments. The contracts writer creates contract documentation, including the development of the scope of services, performance requirements, and terms and conditions. The contracts writer develops language that defines the delivery, service, quality, and pricing for services or products procured. The contracts writer must ensure language is clear and consistent and coordinate with all business units and stakeholders to ensure all protocols, procedures, and requirements are developed in accordance with the Department's needs. Tasks also include the maintenance of an internal documentation library, providing and / or coordinating special documentation services as required, and oversight of special projects as needed. The contracts writer must have strong organizational and project management skills and excellent writing and editing skills. The contracts writer must have the ability to develop new contractual language based on business needs and should not rely only on template documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• Experience : A minimum of 5 years of business or technical writing experience and working knowledge of procurement processes / documentation.

This is a contract position based out of Boca Raton, FL.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $56.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
