Commercial HVAC Service Technician

The ideal technician will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in professional commercial HVAC service work. Key duties encompass preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, replacing parts, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Perform service and troubleshoot on commercial equipment including Packaged Rooftop Units, VRF Systems, Cooling Towers, Boilers, and CRAC, Make Up Air units.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and piping drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintain and promote positive company morale, professionalism, and a friendly work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Certification : Certification or Associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school is preferred.
  • Experience : A minimum of 3-5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Certification : EPA Universal certified.
  • Education : Certification or Associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school.
  • Knowledge : Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Skills : Ability to diagnose HVAC issues and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, including boilers.
  • Experience : Previous installation and control experience.
  • Experience : High voltage and low voltage experience.
  • Customer Service : Customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Willingness : Willingness to train and coach other technicians is desired, but not required.
  • Communication : Ability to interface with clients and effectively communicate service / project outcomes and recommendations.
  • Driver's License : Applicants must possess a current driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, and must be insurable to drive to and from assigned jobs.
