Our Client, an AV Manufacturer company, is looking for a Cinematographer for their Foster City, CA / Hybrid location.
Responsibilities :
- Lead cinematography on shoots spanning brand campaigns, customer stories, internal content, and social media.
- Design and execute lighting setups that enhance mood, tone, and brand aesthetic across diverse environments (studio, corporate, outdoor, in-vehicle).
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, editors, and designers to bring creative concepts to life.
- Operate and maintain cinema grade and agile production cameras to deliver content tailored to each platform.
- Translate brand vision into shot design, movement, and framing, ensuring consistency of client’s visual identity.
- Build and manage shotlists with producers and directors, anticipating creative and technical needs in advance.
- Experiment with new formats, camera rigs, and trends to keep client content innovative and social-forward.
- Support gear acquisition, maintenance, and studio setups, ensuring the team is equipped for high-quality production.
- Mentor and guide junior crew or freelancers on best practices in lighting, camera operation, and visual storytelling.
- Partner with producers and marketing stakeholders to align on creative objectives and technical execution.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and external vendors to maintain a seamless handoff from production to post.
- Support vendor evaluation and crew hiring for larger productions, ensuring external partners meet client’s quality standards.
Requirements :
years of professional cinematography experience across branded content, commercial, corporate, and social media.Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or equivalent practical experience.A portfolio demonstrating mastery of lighting, composition, and camera movement across a variety of genres and formats.Proven ability to adapt between cinematic campaigns and fast turn social content.Deep expertise with industry standard cinema cameras, lenses, rigs, drones, and lighting equipment.Strong knowledge of color pipelines, frame rates, codecs, and camera workflows for post-production.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools for basic editing and color prep.Excellent on-set problem solving, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.Passion for visual storytelling and a strong creative sensibility.Experience with still photography and hybrid photo / video workflows.Knowledge of motion control rigs, gimbals, or virtual production techniques.Familiarity with motion graphics and VFX collaboration.Background in automotive, tech, or lifestyle brands.Experience directing or coaching on camera talent.A combined passion for traditional filmmaking as well as modern social media aesthetics.Why Should You Apply?
