About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on corporate law to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel on a wide range of commercial transactions and business development initiatives. This includes the drafting, review, and negotiation of various commercial agreements and partnerships, as well as supporting M&A activities, due diligence processes, and corporate governance matters. The role also involves advising on regulatory compliance, particularly in the context of emerging technology legal frameworks, and collaborating with business units on strategic initiatives and risk management.
Applicants must have a J.D. from a top-tier law school, with 6-10 years' of corporate law experience, preferably in AmLaw 100 firms or comparable in-house roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex commercial transactions, M&A, and corporate governance, and possess excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in technology, fintech, or emerging industries is preferred. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple complex matters, and have a strong business acumen with strategic thinking. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in managing relationships with external counsel, supporting intellectual property strategy, handling employment law matters, and providing guidance on data privacy and cybersecurity legal requirements.
