Reporting to the Procurement Director, this role acts as the intermediary between the business, FP&A, suppliers and AP. This individual is responsible for turning approved contracts into purchase orders, creating purchase requisitions and receiving goods and services. This role is also highly focused on customer service, ensuring that spend requests of all types are set up correctly and efficiently and contract terms are in the best interest of SEI. The Buyer role is able to act independently on purchasing tasks as well as begin to support the broader purchasing functions at SEI. This includes some project work, data exercises to find savings, and collaboration with other teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Obtain purchasing requirements from relevant departments
• Enter purchasing data into procurement system
• Work with contract review team to ensure proper approval workflow is followed
• Issue purchase orders when fully approved
• Participate in annual training for SEI employees
• Work on sourcing projects
• Confirm receipt of goods and services from initiating party when tasks are complete
• Work with departments, Accounts Payable, and accounting team to ensure proper coding of costs
• Other general office administrative tasks as needed

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge / skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity.
