We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager on behalf of our client an organization based in the Sacramento area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Finance Department with a strong emphasis on accuracy compliance and operational efficiency. The Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager ensures timely execution of payroll and accounts payable functions maintains robust financial controls and contributes to strategic initiatives through dependable reporting and team leadership.

Salary : $90k$115k.(DOE)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead and oversee daily departmental operations ensuring compliance with agency policies and maintaining system efficiency across all functions.
• Supervise staff performance and development including hiring onboarding training and conducting timely evaluations to support professional growth.
• Monitor and report on departmental effectiveness identifying deficiencies proposing corrective actions and communicating regularly with executive leadership.
• Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures ensuring timely month-end closings accurate ledger management and adherence to accounting standards.
• Generate and analyze financial reports including reconciliations audits and budget comparisons to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements maintaining accurate records and aligning financial practices with local state and federal guidelines.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment providing ongoing guidance modeling appropriate conduct and resolving employee relations concerns constructively.
